Tips
There’s banana nut bread, banana nut muffins- so why not Banana Nut French Toast? Topped off with a warm caramel drizzle, this breakfast will leave you wanting seconds.
- Make your batter by whisking your eggs, milk, vanilla, and salt together. Each slice of brioche gets soaked in the batter until thoroughly coated.
- Set your stovetop to medium-high heat and grease a pan with enough butter to coat it. Once it's heated, cook your French toast for 3-4 minutes per side, or until cooked to your preferred doneness.
- While your French toast is cooking, take the time to slice your bananas and walnuts.
- Once your French toast is ready, let the slices cool for 1-2 minutes before for plating.
- Stack 2-3 French toast slices, placing a few pieces of banana and a touch of caramel sauce between slices.
- Top off your French toast stack with a good amount of caramel sauce, and a few more slices of banana.
- Lastly, sprinkle your chopped walnuts on top and you’re ready to enjoy. If you really want to make the flavor pop, add a pinch of flaky sea salt on top for a salted caramel flavor.
