APPLE PIE FRENCH TOAST WITH PECANS

Ingredients
- 4 - 5 Eggs
- 1 – 1¼ Cup of Milk
- Butter
- Salt to Taste
- Apple Slices
- Walnuts
- Cinnamon Powder
- Brown Sugar
- Vanilla Extract
- Lemon Juice
- Whipped Topping / Whipped Cream
Tips
1. Make the Custard
In a bowl, whisk together:
Eggs
Milk
Vanilla extract
Salt
Whisk until smooth.
Dip each brioche slice into the mixture, letting it fully soak but not fall apart.
2. Prepare the Apples
While the brioche is soaking:
Peel and slice your apples.
Heat a saucepan over medium heat and melt a small amount of butter.
Add the apples along with:
A splash of lemon juice
Cinnamon powder
A spoonful of brown sugar
A touch of vanilla extract
Cook until the apples are soft, warm, and syrupy.
3. Cook the French Toast
Heat a skillet over medium‑high heat.
Add enough butter to coat the pan.
Cook each custard‑soaked brioche slice for 3–4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked to your preferred level.
Let the cooked slices rest for a couple of minutes before plating.
4. Assemble the French Toast
Arrange 2–3 slices of French toast on a plate.
Top with:
As many stewed apples as you’d like
A generous sprinkle of walnuts
5. Add Final Touches
Finish with:
A dusting of cinnamon
A dollop of whipped topping or whipped cream
Optional: a warm drizzle of maple syrup for extra sweetness
6. Serve
Serve warm and enjoy the cozy, apple‑pie flavors with fluffy brioche and rich toppings.
